Cambridge Galleries' mandate is to encourage artists in their development and foster appreciation for the visual arts in the community through exhibitions, studio activities and related programs and to acquire, conserve and exhibit our permanent collection of contemporary Canadian fibre art. Cambridge Galleries are governed by the Cambridge Libraries & Galleries Board and offer visual arts programs from all Libraries & Galleries locations in Cambridge. Exhibitions of art and design are presented at the Queen's Square and Preston galleries. Exhibitions of architecture and design are presented at Design at Riverside. Extensive art education activities include studio courses for all ages, curriculum-based school programs, lectures and tours. The Design at Riverside printmaking studio offers numerous studio programs. The Cineseries program of Canadian and international films is presented from September to May at Cambridge Centre Cinemas.
